OXFORD - Joyce M. (Graves) Stockwell, 81, of Park Street, died Monday, July 28, 2014, at UMass Memorial Medical Center - Memorial Campus in Worcester. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, C. Richard Stockwell of Oxford; four children, Patricia M. Stockwell of Charlton, Betty A. Rambarran and her husband Errol of Charlton, Paul R. Stockwell and his wife Carla of Worcester, and Sandra L. McNamara and her husband John of Medway; two sisters, Clara May Fogarty of East Hartford, CT, and Carol O'Brien of Myrtle Beach, SC; seven grandchildren, Paul, Raymond, Kelly, Jaclyn, Katherine, Jack, and Dan; two great grandchildren, Evangelina and Ethan; and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a sister, Nancy Trombley. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Edward J. and Clara (Bleau) Graves, and lived in Millbury and Auburn before moving to Oxford in 1959. She graduated from Millbury High School in 1951. Mrs. Stockwell was a secretary at Oxford Middle School for 23 years, retiring in 1992. After retiring, she enjoyed spending winters in Lake Wales, Florida. She was a member of St. Roch's Church in Oxford. She enjoyed cake decorating, tole painting, sewing, and flower gardening. She especially loved visiting with her grandchildren and hearing about their adventures and accomplishments. A graveside service will be private at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
