Joyce I. Remillard

STURBRIDGE – Joyce I. (Merchant) Remillard, 75, of Park Circle, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, after a long-term illness.  She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Paul D. Remillard of Sturbridge; five children, Paul Remillard Jr. of Pomfret, CT, Laurie Gray of Oxford, John Remillard of Sturbridge, Danny Remillard of Thompson, CT, and Kim Morehouse of Baltic, CT; a sister, Margaret Ann Beaupre of Sturbridge; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.  She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Nelson A. and Pauline G. (Morris) Merchant, was raised in Oxford, and moved to Sturbridge seven years ago.  She graduated from Oxford High School.

Mrs. Remillard worked at the Pilot Flying J in Sturbridge for several years, retiring in 2020.  Previously, she worked at Walmart in Oxford.  She enjoyed playing video games on her computer, reading Nora Roberts novels, and loved baking for her family.

Memorial calling hours are Saturday, August 5, 2023, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford.  A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at the conclusion of calling hours.
