Joy Green

NORTH OXFORD - Joy A. (Beals) Green, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 20, 2010. She was predeceased by her husband of 17 years, George M. "Mickey" Green who died in 1993. She is survived by three children, Michael L. Bedard and his wife Nancy of Francestown, NH, Lisa M. Fields and her husband John of Oxford, and Renee I. Lauziere and her husband Michael of Austin, TX; four step-children, Robert Green and his wife Patti-Jo of Oxford, Patricia Brousseau and her husband Brian of Leicester, Helena McCarthy and her husband Paul of Leicester, and Brian Green; her mother, Goldena "Dena" F. Beals of Oxford; three brothers, Earl Beals and his wife Gwen of Oxford, Dale Beals and his wife Rosalie of Dudley, and Russell Beals and his wife Pauline of Florida; a sister, Gail O'Day of Virginia; her grandchildren, Matthew, Mark, Mallory, Nicholas, Benjamin, Alexander, Christopher, Lindsay, Abby, Michael, Tammi, Daniel, Kevin, Sean, Michael, Elizabeth, and David; four great grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces. She was born in Oxford, the daughter of the late Eugene R. Beals, and lived most of her life in North Oxford. Joy was a hairdresser at several salons in the Auburn and Oxford area for 40 years. As a disciple of Jesus Christ, she served as a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in North Oxford. At the time of her death, she was a member of the Crosspoint Christian Church. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2010, at the First Baptist Church, 693 Main St., North Oxford. Burial will follow at North Cemetery, Oxford. Calling hours are Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Crosspoint Christian Church, c/o the Building Fund, P.O. Box 743, North Oxford, MA 01537.
