Josephine Santor

OXFORD - Josephine H. (Mason) Santor, 69, of Millbury Road, died Friday, December 5, 2008, in her home after a long illness. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Alwin "Al" C. Santor of Oxford; seven children, Winfield "Scott" Santor and Yucha Santor of Auburn, Barbara Johnson and her husband Ed of Shrewsbury, Tarry York and her husband Herb of Oxford, Clyde Santor of Oxford, Bert Santor and his wife Marie of Worcester, Richard Santor of Webster, and Lynn Schold and her husband Scott of Millbury; a sister, Mabel Patten and her husband Dallas of New Hampshire; nine grandchildren, Brian Duffy, Jackie Santor, Ken, Stephanie, and Trisha York, Jonathan and Julia Santor, Eddy Johnson and Lisa Grazulis; three great grandchildren, Derek Rodriguez, Jordyn-Lynn Grazulis, and Edward Johnson III; and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a brother, Winfield L. Mason Jr. of New Hampshire; and two sisters, Veneda Murphy of New Hampshire and Eunie Eastman of Michigan. She was born in Lebanon, NH, the daughter of the late Winfield L. and Josephine M. (Martin) Mason, and lived in New Hampshire and Whitinsville before moving to Oxford in 1973. She graduated from Lebanon High School in 1957. Mrs. Santor worked at the Big Y Supermarket in Worcester for many years, retiring in 2004. She was devoted to her family and loved her cats. She enjoyed reading and playing bingo. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 10, 2008, at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at St. Roch's Cemetery, Oxford. Calling hours are Tuesday, December 9, 2008, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
