OXFORD – John J. Bruso, 70, of Mayfair Circle, died Tuesday, October 30, 2007, at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary E. (Fitzgerald) Bruso of Oxford; three children, Suzanne M. Dalton and her husband Bryan of Webster; Mary Bedard of Webster, and John M. Bruso of Oxford; two brothers, James Bruso of Millbury and Albert Bruso of Worcester; a sister, Christine Sotek of Douglas; four grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces. He was born in New York City, NY, the son of the late George and Bridgette (Malarkey) Bruso, and lived in Grafton before moving to Oxford in 1978. Mr. Bruso was a stationary engineer at Southbridge Power and Thermal in Southbridge for 9 years, retiring in 2005. Previously, he worked at Wyman-Gordon in Worcester for 17 years and Grafton State Hospital for 22 years. Mr. Bruso will be remembered in a private family service. Burial will be private at St. Roch's Cemetery, Oxford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, is directing the arrangements.
