John A. Bolduc, Sr.

OXFORD – John A. Bolduc Sr., 84, died Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Notre Dame Health Care in Worcester.  He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Maureen T. (Wright) Bolduc who died in 2022.  He is survived by four children, John A. Bolduc Jr. and his wife Charlene of Webster, Cherie A. Sirard and her husband Paul of Charlton, Stephen R. Bolduc and his wife Angela of Sterling, and Suzanne Robbins and her husband Mark of Oxford; a brother, Peter A. Bolduc of Worcester; seven grandchildren, Jesse, Michael, Jeffrey, Madlyn, Delaney, Nicholas, and Alyssa; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Philip and Deborah Letourneau, Lucy, Wendy, and Richard Wright; and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by two brothers, Denis P. Bolduc and Albert L. Bolduc.  He was born in Worcester, son of the late Albert L. and Claudia M. (Desjardin) Bolduc, and lived in Worcester before moving to North Oxford in 1973.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

Mr. Bolduc was a truck driver for Teamsters Local 170 in Worcester and Teamsters Local 25 in Boston, retiring after driving for over 50 years.  He also owned and operated Oxford Cycle Service, J. Bolduc and Sons Trucking, and Bolduc Contracting.  He was a past member of the Auburn Elks and a member of the V.F.W. Vernon Hill Post 435 in Worcester.  He enjoyed farm auctions, flea markets, camping, and being outdoors.  Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford.  Burial with military honors will follow at North Cemetery in Oxford.  Calling hours are Tuesday, October 3, 2023, from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Notre Dame Hospice and Palliative Care, 555 Plantation St., Worcester, MA 01605.
