GRAFTON - John E. Anderson, Jr., 54, of Millbury Street, died suddenly on Tuesday, July 2, 2013, after being stricken ill at work. He is survived by his mother, Marjorie J. (Fleming) Anderson of North Oxford; two brothers, Dean Anderson and his wife Maryann of Charlton and Paul Anderson of North Oxford; his sister, Debbie Shelton of Auburn; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and nieces. He was born in Worcester, the son of the late John E. Anderson, Sr., and lived in Oxford before moving to Grafton 30 years ago. He graduated from Oxford High School in 1977 and attended Quinsigamond Community College. Mr. Anderson worked at UPS in Shrewsbury for 33 years, and was a proud member of the Teamsters. He loved hiking the Kancamagus in New Hampshire and going to NASCAR races in the south. He was a season ticket holder for the New England Patriots for many years and enjoyed riding his Harley. He enjoyed caring for his mother, liked to be the "cool uncle" to his nephews and nieces, and loved his cat, Spaz. Calling hours are Saturday, July 6, 2013, from 5-7 p.m. at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. Funeral service and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Massachusetts, 1 Bullfinch Place, 2nd Fl., Boston, MA 02114.
