Johanne Bunevith

BOSTON – Johanne P. “Bunny” Bunevith, 99, of Huntington Avenue, died Saturday, December 10, 2016. She is survived by her nephew, Gerald Chuplis of Haverhill; her niece, Patricia Rodier of Oxford; seven grand nephews and nieces, and six great-grand nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her nephew Joseph Chuplis; and three sisters, Mary Bunevith, Ann Pitchman, and Pauline Chuplis. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Casimir and Caroline (Rajeckas) Bunevith. She graduated from the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital School of Nursing in Boston in 1939.Miss Bunevit

h was a registered nurse at The Brigham for over 40 years. She loved her family dearly. She was a patron of the Arts and an avid reader. She will be remembered as a compassionate nurse, fashion maven, and a woman of great taste, grace and style.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at St. Ann’s Church, 652 Main St., North Oxford. Burial will be at Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester. There are no calling hours. Due to Johanne’s long association with The Brigham, in lieu of flowers donations may be made in Johanne’s memory to the Carey M. Hall Scholarship Fund, c/o Carolyn Millett, 22 Michael Road, Attleboro, MA 02703. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
