Joan Riel

NORTH OXFORD – Joan A. (Bourassa) Riel, 67, of Main Street, was reunited with her husband on Monday, February 11, 2008. She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Roderick D. Riel Sr. of North Oxford, who died in 2004. She is survived by three daughters, Debora L. Clifford and her husband Dale of Florida, Donna M. Merson and her husband Ronald of Virginia Beach, VA, and Tracy A. Caouette of South Carolina; a son, Roderick D. Riel Jr. and his wife Linda of Florida; a sister, Judith LeClair of Worcester; eleven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Joseph and Beatrice (Gilbert) Bourassa, and lived in Worcester before moving to North Oxford 34 years ago. Mrs. Riel was a former member of the Oxford Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary in North Oxford. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 15, 2008, at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at North Cemetery, Main St., Oxford. There are no calling hours.
