Joan Lovitt

OXFORD – Joan C. Lovitt, 72, of Liberty Lane, died peacefully on Thursday, February 8, 2018, at UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus, after a long illness. She is survived by three nephews, one niece, one great-niece, one great-nephew, and her sister-in-law, Patricia A. Bracewell of Oxford. She was predeceased by her brother, Herbert M. Bracewell Jr. who died in 2015; and her longtime companion, Harry Hudson. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Herbert M. and Yvonne R. (Lupien) Bracewell Sr., and lived most of her life in Worcester and 17 years in Florida, before moving to Oxford 10 years ago. She graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester in 1963.

Mrs. Lovitt was a bookkeeper at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. She was a bookkeeper for various companies over the years.

All services will be private. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
