OXFORD – Joan E. (Moody) Chabot, 73, of Federal Hill Road, died Saturday, December 5, 2015, in her home after a short illness. She is survived by two children, Lori J. Urella and her husband Scott of Oxford, and Todd M. Langway and his wife Maryellen of Oxford; three brothers, Leslie Moody of Port Richey, FL, Lee Moody of North Brookfield, and Stephen Moody of Oxford; a sister, Georgia Bedard of Oxford; her companion, Joseph Conley of New Port Richey, FL; four grandchildren, one great grandson, and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her husband of 29 years, Richard E. Chabot who died in 2004; and a sister, Gail Baker-Surprenant. She was born in Framingham, daughter of the late Carlyle E. and Lois V. (Peacock) Moody, and lived most of her life in Oxford.
Mrs. Chabot owned and operated Mostly Meat in Webster for over 20 years, retiring several years ago. She enjoyed traveling.
Memorial calling hours are Saturday, December 12, 2015, from 4-6 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. A prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. at the conclusion of calling hours. Burial will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VNA of Southern Worcester County, P.O. Box 368, Webster, MA 01570.
