OXFORD - Jean D. (Anderson) Walsh, 83, of Wheelock Street, died Monday, May 20, 2013, at Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Westboro. She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Joseph H. Walsh of Oxford who died in 2000. She is survived by three daughters, Grace Louise Hebert of Bolton, Kim A. Walsh of Oxford, and Karen A. Nelson of Charlton; two brothers, Roger Anderson and Robert Anderson; a sister, Grace Lee; two grandchildren, Richard Hebert of Plymouth and Kelly Hebert-Sallhofen of North Brookfield; two great grandchildren, Madelyn Sallhofen and Joslyn Hebert-Sallhofen; and was a special grandmother to Maria, Sydney, Demitri, Jordan, Caleb, Benjamin, Noah, William III, and Sharen. She was predeceased by three brothers, Russell Anderson, Carl Anderson, and Algot Anderson. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Algot and Hazel (Humphries) Anderson, and lived in Worcester before moving to Oxford in 1959. Mrs. Walsh was a machinist at Smith Valve in Westboro for 30 years, retiring many years ago. Previously, she worked at Whitall's Rug Company. She was a member of St. Roch's Church in Oxford and the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and spending time with her grandchildren. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 24, 2013, at St. Roch's Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at St. Roch's Cemetery in Oxford. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Massachusetts/New Hampshire Chapter, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472. Paradis Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
