OXFORD - Jean E. (St. Germain) Dexter, 59, of Old Webster Rd., died Saturday, October 9, 2010, after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Russell Dexter of Oxford; three children, Amy M. Dexter of Oxford, Steven E. Dexter of Marlboro, and Paul E. Dexter of Oxford; three brothers, Charlie St. Germain of Charlton, Lester Wentworth of CT, and Harold Wentworth of Leicester; a sister, Irene Vancellette of NH; a grandson, Calvin Dexter of Webster; and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a grandson, Jared Dexter-Saqellari of Oxford who died in 2004. She was born in Oxford, the daughter of the late Joseph and Myrtle (Bennett) St. Germain, and was a lifelong resident of Oxford. Mrs. Dexter was a patient representative at UMass Memorial Hospital in Worcester for 30 years, retiring in 2002. She was a volunteer, leader, and commissioner for the Boy Scouts in both Oxford and Worcester. Jean will be greatly missed by her dogs: Sadie, Patches, Peanut, and Brownie.
