Janie Dussault

NORTH OXFORD – Janie E. (Robinson) Dussault, 90, of Turner Road, died Tuesday, January 22, 2008, at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester. She was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Romeo H. Dussault of Oxford, who died in 1977. She is survived by three sons, Henry Dussault of Quinebaug, CT, Raymond Dussault of Groton, CT, and Phillip Dussault of North Oxford; five daughters, Theresa McSparren of Townsend, Mary Dussault of North Oxford, Patricia Wood of Falmouth, Diane Dauksz of Oxford, and Janet Thoren of Charlton; a half-sister, Clarabell Drew of New Hampshire, 21 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, nephews, and nieces. She was predeceased by a son, David Dussault who died in 2003; three brothers and one sister. She was born in Gilmanton, NH, the daughter of the late Thomas and Gladys A. (Hillard) Robinson, and lived most of her life in Oxford. Mrs. Dussault was a lens maker at American Optical in Southbridge for 13 years, retiring in 1982. Previously, she was a full-fashion knitter at M.K.M. Hosiery in Rochdale for 20 years. She was a member of St. Roch's Church in Oxford and was a volunteer at the Oxford Senior Center. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, crocheting, knitting, and most of all loved her family. A funeral will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2008, from Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Roch's Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at St. Roch's Cemetery, Oxford. Calling hours are Friday, January 25, 2008, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
