WEBSTER - Janet A. (McCarthy) Williams, 77, of Pine Tree Lane, died peacefully on Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband of many years, Raymond A. Williams of Webster; five children, Michael Chickering and his wife Bonnie of Southbridge, Cindy Chickering of Dudley, Glenn Chickering and his wife Helen of Webster, Mark Williams of CT, and Peggy Totman and her husband Owen of Grafton; four brothers, Armand McCarthy and his wife Rita of Webster, Walter "Tootie" McCarthy and his wife Erleen of Oxford, Albert "Red" McCarthy and his wife Lorraine of Fort Myers, FL, and Kenneth McCarthy and his wife Nancy of Auburn; four sisters, Claire Ugalde of Dudley, Claudia Seale and her husband Arthur of Oxford, Fran Normandin and her husband Roland of North Oxford; and Gail Sivret and her husband Jerry of Dudley; 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a brother, Roger McCarthy. She was born in Oxford, the daughter of the late Walter and Irene (Strack) McCarthy, and lived in Oxford and Dudley before moving to Webster in 1988. Janet worked at Gentex in Dudley for many years, retiring in 2001. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Dudley. She had a zest for life and a kind and generous spirit. She enjoyed spending time with her Husband, Ray, especially going to flea markets. She also liked to take walks. Janet was a devoted mother who loved and nurtured her children. They are grateful for her moral guidance and direction and the valuable lessons in life that she taught them. She deeply loved her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. She has touched the lives of all in her family in ways they will never forget. They will cherish the fond memories they have of Janet and she will always have a special place in their hearts. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2013, at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 24 Dudley Hill Road, Dudley. Friends and family are respectfully requested to meet at the church. Burial will follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Webster. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O.
