Janet Saad

OXFORD – Janet M. (Pytko) Saad, 80, passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2018. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Franklin G. “Sonny” Saad who died in 2016. She is survived by four children, Cynthia S. Johnson and her husband Alan of Webster, Stephen M. “Bo” Saad and his wife Kelly of Cherry Hill, NJ, Patricia S. Cloutier and her husband Joe of Oxford, and James A. Saad and his wife Tammy of Rocky Hill, CT; a brother, A. Russell Pytko of Oxford; two sisters, Jane H. Lipski of Webster and Ann M. Bealle Stoesz of Santa Fe, NM; eight grandchildren, Kristen Veale, Michael Johnson, Beau Saad, Patric Saad, Zachary Cloutier, Molly Cloutier, Joshua Saad, and Jason Saad; two step grandchildren, Matthew and Rachel Lindamood; and four great-grandchildren, Annalise and Linnea Veale, and Holden and Kira Saad. She was predeceased by three brothers, Roger Pytko, Donald Pytko, and Paul Pytko; and a sister, Jean Tessier. She was born in Webster, daughter of the late George A. and Inez E. (Bedard) Pytko, and was a lifelong resident of Oxford. She graduated from Oxford High School.

Mrs. Saad was a dental assistant for several dentists in Webster and Oxford for many years. After raising her family, she returned to work at Macy’s Department Store and the Gentlemen’s Warehouse in Auburn. She was the center of her family and dedicated her life to caring for her home and raising her children. She was a Girl Scout leader, played in a women’s softball league, and loved playing bingo.

A funeral will be held on Friday, March 23, 2018, from Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Roch’s Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at St. Roch’s Cemetery in Oxford. Calling hours are Thursday, March 22, 2018, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
