OXFORD - James M. "Jamie" Wahlstrom, 44, of Dudley Road, died suddenly on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at St. Vincent Hospital, after a long struggle with addiction. He is survived by his son, Brandon J. Wahlstrom of Oxford; his mother, Barbara A. (Lareau) Moody of Oxford; his uncle, Richard J. Shurick of Jacksonville, FL; and two nieces, Amaya Shurick and Katarina Shurick, both of Greer, SC. He was born in Worcester, the son of the late Robert A. Wahlstrom, and lived most of his life in Oxford. He graduated from Oxford High School. Jamie was previously employed by Fiba in Westboro for several years. In addition, he worked for several other local companies. Jamie enjoyed weightlifting and going to the gym. He was a fan of the Boston sports teams, and loved his dogs Sadie, Teddy, and Jasper. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2015, at St. Roch's Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Please meet directly at the church. Burial will be private. Memorial calling hours are Friday, February 13, 2015, from 6-8 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the MSPCA-Angell, 350 South Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130.
