NORTH OXFORD – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James C. Booth Sr., who left us on January 31, 2025, at the age of 60. James was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, known for his infectious sense of humor and his unwavering love for his family. He was truly one of a kind, always ready with a laugh or a playful jab that would lighten any room.
James is survived by his wife of 33 years, Lisa A. (Gain) Booth; four children, James C. Booth Jr. and his partner Amanda of Northbridge, Tyler P. Booth and his fiancée Mehgan of Freeport, FL, Cassie A. Booth of Oxford, and Jessica N. Booth of Oxford; a brother, Dwight Booth and his wife Barbara of Newburyport; three sisters, Deborah Senior and her husband William of Auburn, Susan Clancey of Worcester, and Kimberley Reynolds and her husband Kevin of Auburn; his sister-in-law, Marcia Booth of Cape Cod; two granddaughters, Amelia and Delilah; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Earl C. Booth Jr.; a stepbrother, Joseph Obert; and a brother-in-law, Thomas Clancey.
He was born on December 13, 1964, son of the late Earl C. Booth Sr. and Anna F. (Obert) Booth, and lived in Northbridge before moving to North Oxford in 2014. He attended Auburn High School.
James was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. A lifelong fan of the New York Giants, his Sundays were reserved for the game, often accompanied by the lively banter of family. But more than his love for football, James' greatest joy came from his grandchildren. His face would light up at the sight of them, and he took immense pride in being a constant source of love and laughter in their lives.
In addition to his love for family, James had a deep appreciation for music, which was a constant presence in his life. Whether it was attending concerts with his daughters or listening to his favorite songs, James’ life was defined by the joy of solace he felt in every note, rhythm, and melody.
