OXFORD - Henry J. Andrzejczyk Sr., 89, of Bartlett St., Oxford, died Saturday, April 18, 2009, at Lanessa Extended Care in Webster. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ruth (Gildauskas) (Buffone) Andrzejczyk of Oxford; his stepdaughter, Maryann Dufresne of Auburn; five grandchildren, Colin Andrzejczyk and Chris Andrzejczyk, both of New Hampshire, Jennifer Matson of Auburn, Jim Dufresne of Oxford, and Aria Ward of Worcester; and eight great grandchildren. He was predeceased by two children, Henry J. Andrzejczyk Jr. and Joanne Andrzejczyk; five brothers, Steve, Edward, Chester, Francis, and Ben Andrzejczyk; and a sister, Cecilia Daige. He was born in Worcester, the son of the late Stanley and Valerie (Potas) Andrzejczyk, and lived in Oxford for many years. He attended St. Mary's School and St. John's School in Worcester, and was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. Mr. Andrzejczyk worked at Crompton and Knowles in Worcester for 40 years, retiring several years ago. He was a member of St. Roch's Church in Oxford and the Polish American Veterans in Worcester. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 24, 2009, at St. Roch's Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to St. Roch's Church, 334 Main St., Oxford, MA 01540. Paradis Funeral Home, Oxford, is assisting the family with arrangements.
