OXFORD -- Helen I. (Wilson) Woodruff, 61, of West Street, died peacefully on Friday, July 4, 2014, surrounded by her loving family at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, after a sudden illness. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Jarvis C. Woodruff; six daughters, Lisa Connor of Georgia, Bobbi Jean Brothers of Louisiana, Lorrie Woodruff of New York, Renee Woodruff of New York, Kendra Woodruff of Oxford, and Brittany Poirier of Oxford; four brothers, Alfred Wilson, Lloyd Wilson, and Robert Wilson, all of New York, and Terry Wilson of Indiana; two sisters, Cathrine Hartigan and Gladys Hartigan, both of New York; 14 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by two sisters, Rayona Brothers and Virginia Wilson. She was born in Massena, NY, the daughter of the late Calvin and Doris (Munson) Wilson, and lived in Oxford for the past 6 years. Mrs. Woodruff loved tending to her flower garden, cooking, and baking. She dedicated her life to caring for her home and family, and was always there to help anyone in need. A graveside service will be held at Carrville Cemetery in Brasher, NY, at a later date. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
