CHARLTON - Helen M. (Pedone) Thibeault, 84, of Sunset Drive and formerly of Southboro, died Friday, June 3, 2011, at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, George N. Thibeault of Charlton who died in 2002. She is survived by a son, George N. Thibeault Jr. and his wife Aimee of Brielle, NJ; three daughters, Margaret M. Hill and her husband Gordon of Guilford, CT, Maria P. Chaput and her husband Bruce of Framingham, and Jacqueline M. Nowak and her husband Edward of Charlton; a brother, Francis Pedone of Shrewsbury; ten grandchildren, George N. Thibeault III, Courtney R. Thibeault, Catherine and Brian Regan, Gordon Hill IV, Nicholas J. Hill, Matthew and Barbara Hill, Jason and Lisa Chaput, Adam Chaput, Wyatt and Rachel Nowak; four great grandchildren, Samuel and Benjamin Chaput, and Sophia and Brendan Regan; and several nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Nicolo and Maria (DiGregorio) Pedone. Mrs. Thibeault was devoted to her family and was the consummate Mother, Nammie, and friend. She was an active member and Eucharistic minister for many years at St. Anne's Parish in Southboro and St. Joseph's Parish in Charlton. She was president of the Ladies' Sodality at St. Jeremiah Parish and the Mother's Guild at Marian High School. Mrs. Thibeault was an avid Red Sox and college basketball fan, and her television was always tuned to NESN or ESPN. She was always active and full of life. She challenged her grandsons and daughters to a good game of golf. In her younger days, she coached for many years in the C.Y.O. softball and basketball leagues. She could always be found on the sideline cheering for her children and grandchildren - no matter what the sport. She loved her family deeply and they loved her as well. A funeral will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2011, from Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 10 H. Putnam Rd. Ext., Charlton. Burial will follow at St. Roch's Cemetery, Oxford. Calling hours are Monday, June 6, 2011, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Church Food Pantry, P.O. Box 338, Charlton City, MA 01508.
