OXFORD - Helen M. (Tyborowski) Dion, 80, of Depot Road, died Friday, July 31, 2009, in her home. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Earl N. Dion of Oxford; her son, Duane J. Dion of Oxford; a brother, Thomas Tyborowski of Delray Beach, FL; a sister, Blanche Mazur of Saugus; a granddaughter, Ally Amorello of Worcester; two great grandsons, James and Ethan Amorello, both of Worcester; nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by a son, Dana E. Dion; a daughter, Denise M. Orne; and a brother, Joseph Tyborowski of Florida. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Thomas A. and Blanche E. (Rafalowski) Tyborowski, and lived in Oxford for 55 years. She graduated from Nazareth Academy in Torresdale, PA, in 1946. Mrs. Dion worked for G.E. Telechron for 8 years, retiring many years ago. Previously, she was the traffic manager at New England Return Loan Service and also worked at Papa Gino's Restaurant in Auburn for 12 years. She enjoyed all types of dancing and taught ballroom dancing. She loved all animals and was a collector of stuffed animals. A private graveside service will be held at Notre Dame Cemetery, Webster St., Worcester. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 640 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01608, or to the Massachusetts Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, ATTN: Donations, 350 South Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02130. Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, is directing the arrangements.
