Helen Dejesus

OXFORD – Helen C. (Rivers) DeJesus, 81, of Fort Hill Road, died Thursday, March 17, 2016, at UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus in Worcester. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Paul C. DeJesus Sr. of Oxford; four children, Howard C. Clinton of Florida, Linda L. Anderson and her husband Rob of Oxford, Tina M. Barrette and her husband Mark of Webster, and Paul C. DeJesus Jr. of Oxford; six grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, several nephews, nieces, and cousins, including her cousin and best friend Jeanne Dionne of Connecticut. She was predeceased by her sister Paulette Giroux. She was born in Southbridge, daughter of the late Lester J. and Ida (Suprenant) Rivers, and lived in Southbridge before moving to Oxford 45 years ago.

Mrs. DeJesus worked at Hyde Manufacturing in Southbridge for 35 years, retiring in 2003. She worked hard throughout her life at her job and caring for her home and family. She enjoyed decorating, flowers, gardening, cooking, and most of all loved spending time with her family.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at St. Roch’s Cemetery in Oxford. Calling hours are Monday, March 21, 2016, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
