WEBSTER - Gloria (DesLauriers) Bolivar Williams, 92, died peacefully of natural causes on Friday, March 29, 2013, at Oakwood Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Webster. She leaves her daughter, Dianne Jo Kapurch and her husband Robert of Leicester, with whom she made her home; and three grandchildren, Leah Kapurch Sidlo, Gloria Kapurch Besse and her husband Brian, and Diane Lane. She also leaves nine great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. A daughter, Donna Lee Bolivar predeceased her. She was born in Whitinsville to Harvey and Josephine (St. Andre) DesLauriers. She was one of six children, Alice Austin, Clovis DesLauriers, Harvey DesLauriers Jr., Gladys Wright, and Valmore DesLauriers; all who predeceased her. She graduated from Northbridge High School in Northbridge in 1938, graduated from David Hale Fanning School of Nursing in Worcester in 1967, and earned a bachelor's degree in general studies at Clark University in Worcester in 1978. She then worked at Worcester City Hospital for 10 years as a licensed practical nurse. After moving to Hampton, NH, she became a group manager at Haverhill Human Services and a licensed social worker at Turning Point Inc., in Newburyport. Upon her retirement, she became a volunteer for Seacoast Hospice in Exeter, NH. She also became a member of the Seacoast Artists Association of Hampton, NH, and created many beautiful oil paintings. She was an avid seamstress and craftswoman. She moved to Auburn in 1999 and moved in with her daughter in Leicester in 2003. There are no calling hours, services, or burial at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to PeopleFirst Homecare and Hospice, 130 Rumford Ave., Auburndale, MA 02466. Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, is directing the arrangements.
