Gilbert Ayotte

OXFORD - Gilbert F. Ayotte, 72, of Wheelock Street, died Friday, September 4, 2015, at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Joan L. (Ackerman) Ayotte of Oxford; his brother, Gerald Ayotte of Spencer; his sister, Joylene Labelle of North Brookfield; and over 100 nephews and nieces. He was born in Lawrence, son of the late Gilbert J. and Rena (Moran) Ayotte, and lived in Oxford for the past 15 years. Mr. Ayotte worked in the shipping and receiving department at St. Vincent Hospital for 33 years. He was a member of Silver Sneakers and enjoyed his early morning walks. He loved playing pool, going to the casino, and scratch tickets. No funeral service in planned. There are no calling hours. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is assisting with arrangements.
