Gertrude Kaczynski

OXFORD – Gertrude B. (Janiszewski) Kaczynski, 86, of Wheelock St., died Monday, September 17, 2007, at UMass Memorial Medical Center – Memorial Campus, after a short illness. She was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Walter J. Kaczynski of Worcester, who died in 1986. She is survived by her daughter, Carol A. Sepuka and her husband Paul of Oxford; her sister, Theresa Olds of Webster; two grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a daughter, Christine Simoncini of Worcester who died in 1985; two brothers, Edmund Janiszewski and Richard Janiszewski; and a sister, Dorothy Seilius. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late John and Anna (Golas) Janiszewski, and lived in Worcester before moving to Oxford over 20 years ago. Mrs. Kaczynski worked in the bakery at Price Chopper Supermarket in Webster for over 20 years. Previously, she worked at David Clarke in Worcester and worked at W.C.I.S. in Worcester. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and cooking, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. A funeral will be held at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2007, from Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Roch's Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
