OXFORD – Genevieve M. (Beaudette) St. Cyr, 89, of Old Worcester Road, died Thursday, March 31, 2016, in her home. She was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Armand J. St. Cyr of Oxford, who died in 1990. She is survived by two children, David J. St. Cyr of Oxford and Linda A. Ward of Pennsylvania; three sisters, Marie Hadley of Webster, Doris McDonald of Oxford, and Delia Groleau of Webster; 4 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by seven brothers, Charles Beaudette who died in 1968, Norman Beaudette who died in 2002, Ronald Beaudette who died in 2004, Roger Beaudette who died in 2008, Robert Beaudette who died in 2008, Albert Beaudette who died in 2009, and Arthur Beaudette who died in 2012. She was born in North Oxford, daughter of the late Arthur W. and Josephine (Gallant) Beaudette, and lived all of her life in Oxford.
Mrs. St. Cyr worked at American Optical in Southbridge for 38 years, retiring in 1989. She was a member of St. Ann’s Church in North Oxford and the Quarter Century Club at American Optical.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2016, at St. Roch’s Cemetery in Oxford. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Joslin Diabetes Center, 1 Joslin Place, Boston, MA 02215. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
