Gary D. Vigue, Sr.

CHARLTON – Gary D. Vigue, Sr., 80, of Lelandville Road, died Friday, October 13, 2023, in his home.  He is survived by three children, Gary Vigue Jr. and his wife Karen of Barre, VT, Kimberly Fox of Pittsfield, and Bobbi-Jo Smith of Charlton; his brother, Anthony Vigue of Texas; five grandchildren, Adam Vigue, Samantha Fox, Amanda Smith, Katelyn Smith, and George Smith III; and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by three brothers, Richard Menga, Fred Vigue, and Phillip Vigue.  He was born in Wilsonville, CT, son of the late Anthony Laurier and Angelina (Termine) Vigue, was raised in Wilsonville and lived in Charlton for over 50 years.

Mr. Vigue was a truck driver throughout his life, most recently working for Shoreside Docks in Oxford for the past several years.  Previously, he worked for L&P Paper in Charlton.  He was a member of the American Mountain Men and the Northeast Mountain Men, associations of individuals dedicated to the preservation of the traditions and ways of our nation’s greatest and most daring explorers.  They are dedicated to the conservation of our nation’s remaining natural wilderness and wildlife.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 30, 2023, at St. Joseph’s Church, 10 H. Putnam Rd. Ext., Charlton.  Those attending are respectfully requested to meet directly at the church.

Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
