NORTH GROSVENORDALE, CT - Frank G. Kettle, 78, of Wilsonville Rd., died Monday, May 24, 2010, in his home, after a long illness. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Janice A. (Graham) Kettle of N. Grosvenordale; two children, Gary L. Kettle and his wife Marcia of North Grosvenordale, and Louise A. Whitaker and her husband Lonnie of Salado, TX; two sisters, Grace Monfette of Taunton, MA, and Georgia Newland of Sheffield, VT; three brothers, Phil DeGrenier of Sheffield, VT, Lyle DeGrenier of Glover, VT, and Jason DeGrenier of Sheffield, VT; four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces. He was born in Brownington, VT, the son of the late George J. and Ina G. (Towne) Kettle, lived most of his life in Farmington, before moving to N. Grosvenordale earlier this year. Mr. Kettle was a truck driver for Capital Pipe in Newington, CT, for over 30 years, retiring in 1994. He was a member of the Teamsters Union in Hartford and a member of the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and camping with his wife. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 27, 2010, at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, MA. Burial will follow at Eastwood Cemetery, Lancaster, MA. Calling hours are Wednesday, May 26, 2010, from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
