WEBSTER - Florence R. (Valois) Latour, 87, of Christopher Heights, died Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Edgar A. Latour who died in 1995; and a son, Daniel Latour of Stafford Springs, CT. She is survived by seven children, Jean F. Wrona of Woodstock, CT, Christine A. Agin of Vineyard Haven, Edgar P. Latour of Quinebaug, CT, Joseph P. Latour of Oxford, Charolett T. Garceau of Quinebaug, CT, Mary A. Williams of Woodstock, CT, and Susan J. Phelps of Webster; 22 grandchildren and great grandchildren; her special friend, Arthur Lamontagne; and many nephews and nieces, including her special nephew Michael Letendre and his family of Worcester. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Joseph and Blanche (Fannion) Valois, and lived in Oxford, Quinebaug, and Dudley, before moving to Webster 3 years ago. Mrs. Latour was a Certified Nurse's Aide at Sandalwood Nursing Home in Oxford many years ago. She spent most of her time at home caring for her family. She was an active volunteer at Christopher Heights in Webster. She enjoyed traveling, watching the Patriots, playing cards, and playing WII games at Christopher Heights. The family would like to thank the staff and residents at Christopher Heights in Webster for their exceptional care and compassion. Calling hours are Thursday, January 24, 2013, from 2-4 p.m. at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. Burial will be private at a later date.
