Evelyn Lilley

OXFORD – Evelyn M. (McLaughlin) Lilley, 89, of Wheelock Street, died Friday, January 25, 2008, at the home of her daughter in Natick, after a short illness. She was predeceased by her husband, William B. Lilley of Oxford, who died in 1972. She is survived by four children, Carole A. Persia and her husband Thomas of Natick, John F. Lilley of Quinebaug, CT, Sandra L. Ngoon and her husband Kalvin of Palo Alto, CA, and Brian D. Lilley and his companion Judy Harnois of Webster; her daughter-in-law, Susan Lilley of Oxford; three sisters, Betty Annucci and her husband Steven of Worcester, Theresa McGuire and her husband Mike of Glastonbury, CT, and Patricia Palmucci and her husband Ray of Concord, MA; seven grandchildren, Kim Lilley, Megan Provencal, Nalani Ngoon, Tristan Ngoon, Rebecca Ngoon, Erin Lilley, and Michael Harnois; two great grandsons, Anthony Lilley and Damon Provencal; and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Kara Lilley; three brothers, and three sisters. She was born in Houlton, ME, the daughter of the late Frank and Ella (McGrath) McLaughlin, and lived in Maine before moving to Oxford in 1946. She graduated from Houlton High School in Houlton, ME, in 1936. Mrs. Lilley was a member of St. Roch's Church in Oxford. She loved reading, was a wonderful baker, and was an avid Red Sox fan. A funeral will be held at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, January 30, 2008, from Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Roch's Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at St. Roch's Cemetery, Oxford. Calling hours are Tuesday, January 29, 2008, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
