Mrs. Dover was a home health aide for the Samaritans in Webster for 6 years. Previously, she was a certified nurse’s aide at Sandalwood Nursing Home in Oxford for over 10 years. These weren’t just jobs for her, it was who she was – all day, every day. Evelyn was a rare gem whose only want was to do what she could to make everyone else’s day a little better. “I want” did not exist in her vocabulary. She truly lived the phrase “do unto others…” Evelyn possessed unlimited patience and a heart that had no boundaries. She saw every day as a gift and was always there to help us find the beauty in it. These qualities, along with her unmatched strength and faith in humanity will be missed by us all. We would like to thank all of her caregivers at Lanessa Extended Care. You treasured your Aunty Evy, and made some very difficult years a little easier for us knowing how much you loved her, and to Marilyn for always making sure her hair looked as beautiful as she was.
