WORCESTER - Eugene R. "Uncle" Beauregard, 83, died Friday, September 14, 2012, in his home. He will be greatly missed by two sisters, Irene C. Lovejoy and Pauline D. Hyder, both of Worcester; and by his many nephews, nieces, great nephews, and great nieces. He was predeceased by a brother, Francis Beauregard of Worcester who died in 1997; and two sisters, Carol Bilodeau of Oxford who died in 2011 and Lillian Lewis of Worcester who died in 2007. He was born in Worcester, the son of the late Wilfred and Antoinette (Cote) Beauregard, and lived there all his life. He was an Army National Guard veteran serving during the Korean War. Mr. Beauregard worked at J.G. & L Landscaping in Oxford for 10 years, retiring in 2006. Previously, he worked for Kinefac Corporation in Worcester for 12 years and Sprague's Wallpaper in Greendale. He was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Worcester. Mr. Beauregard loved walking and participated in many charity walks. He was an excellent ping pong player and enjoyed gardening, being outdoors, shopping, animals, and holidays - especially Halloween and Christmas. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and participating in all family activities. Our family would like to express our sincere appreciation to Terry Sullivan, whose care and compassion for uncle will never be forgotten. Uncle knew Terry was just a phone call away. A memorial calling hour will be Friday, September 21, 2012, from 10-11 a.m. at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. A graveside service will follow at 12 noon at Notre Dame Cemetery, 162 Webster St., Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 60 Walnut Street, Wellesley Hills, MA 02481.
