Ernest Dionne

AUBURN - Ernest C. Dionne, 80, of Green Street, died Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at Worcester Rehabilitation and Health Center, after an illness. He was predeceased by his wife of 28 years, Barbara C. (Nilsson) Dionne who died on March 3, 2015; and his daughter, Sandra Dionne. He is survived by five children, Mark Dionne of Worcester, Pamela Dionne of Webster, Cheryl Dionne-Beauchene of East Brookfield, Glenn Dionne of Worcester, and Kim Besse of Brookfield; four step-children, Cheryl Bullard of Worcester, Rhonda Sanchez of Auburn, Edward Friel of Leicester, Kathleen Abasciano of Auburn; 13 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, nephews and nieces. He was a was born in Worcester, son of the late Archie B. Dionne and Elizabeth E. Goodwin-Dionne, and lived in Worcester before moving to Auburn over 20 years ago. Mr. Dionne worked in the maintenance department at Worcester State Hospital for over 30 years. He was a jack of all trades. He helped anyone in need and was like a father to many. He enjoyed county music. He was an exceptional dancer and loved the ocean. A graveside service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, July 10, 2015, at All Faiths Cemetery, 7 Island Road, Worcester. There are no calling hours. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
