Emily Roszko

Emily Roszko, lifelong resident of Oxford, passed away peacefully on Monday July 10, 2017 at the age of 92. "Emmy" joins those that have passed before her; her husband Constantine "Connie" Roszko; her brothers Louis "Buddy" Kemp Jr., Richard "Cappy" Kemp; her sisters Frances Bell, Muriel Roy, and Marjorie Darling; as well as her parents Louis Sr. and Leslie (Fortin) Kemp.

Emmy leaves behind three siblings David Kemp, Leonard Kemp and Marilyn Rothstein, a sister-in-law and friend Patricia Kemp, and many, many, nieces and nephews.

Emmy enjoyed baking, sewing and gardening as evident by the beautiful gardens around her home. Emmy also loved to embroider and she did so while Connie watched his wrestling.

Emily loved her family most of all. She loved the history and traditions. She shared them with everyone so they would be carried on when she was no longer with us. She took care of us all. The door was always open at Emmy and Connie’s. Everyone was welcome. Homemade pastry and fresh perked coffee were readily available whenever anyone stopped in for a visit. Emily will be missed by all those that had the good fortune to know her.

There are no calling hours or services planned. Burial will be in North Cemetery in Oxford. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
