OXFORD – Elsa R. (Moscoffian) DeJesus, 82, of Fort Hill Road, died Saturday, March 23, 2024, in her home surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Nelson J. DeJesus who died in 2023. She is survived by four children, Robert J. DeJesus and his wife Glenna of Oxford, Lisa M. Mason and her husband Robert of North Grosvenordale, Michael J. DeJesus and his wife Kristie of Charlton, and Kevin P. DeJesus Sr. and his wife Wendy of Charlton; three brothers, Robert Moscoffian and his wife Juanita of Kings, NC, Joseph Moscoffian and his wife Susan of Dudley, and Ronald Moscoffian and his wife Cheryl of Oxford; two sisters, Debra Mahoney and her husband William of Webster, and Barbara Lyman of Southbridge; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson, Robert J. DeJesus Jr.; and a brother, Richard Moscoffian. She was born in Webster, daughter of the late Serop and Helen R. (Kulchisky) Moscoffian, and was a lifelong resident of Oxford. She graduated from Oxford High School.
Elsa was a remarkable woman whose life was defined by selflessness and love. Devoted entirely to her family, she poured her heart into nurturing her children and caring for her husband with unwavering dedication. An avid animal lover, she found immense joy in the companionship of her dogs, cats, and birds over the years. Her children and grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and she delighted in showering them with affection. She enjoyed crocheting beautiful pieces and tending to her garden. Additionally, she enjoyed the occasional thrill of a casino outing. Elsa will be fondly remembered for her thoughtfulness, kindness, and the enduring love she shared with all who knew her. Her legacy of love and warmth will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 29, 2024, at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at St. Roch’s Cemetery in Oxford. A calling hour will be held from 10:30 -11:00 a.m. on Friday prior to the service.
