OXFORD - Edward S. Naleski, 81, of Millbury Road, died Thursday, Oct. 14, 2010, at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Anne J. (Saad) Naleski of Oxford; three daughters, Carol A. Holda and her husband John of Newport News, VA, Linda A. Legere of Dudley and her companion Douglas Sherblom of Holden, and Karen A. Naleski-Dwyer and her husband Donald Dwyer of Dudley; a brother, Victor Naleski of Auburn; four grandchildren, Michael Holda, Melissa Legere, Laura Legere, and Stephanie Naleski; and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a brother, Chester Naleski of Millbury; and a sister, Viola Merritt of Auburn. He was born in Auburn, the son of the late Walter and Mary (Pepowski) Naleski, and lived in Auburn before moving to Oxford in 1952. He graduated from Auburn High School in 1947. Mr. Naleski was a cement finisher at the Bricklayers and Allied Craft Worker's Union Local 1 in Springfield for 40 years. He was a member of St. Roch's Church in Oxford and enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, baseball, football, and playing horseshoes. A funeral will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010, from Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Roch's Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at St. Roch's Cemetery, Oxford. Calling hours are Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Massachusetts Chapter, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472, or to Lanessa Extended Care Center, c/o Activities Dept., 751 School St., Webster, MA 01570.
