WEBSTER / NEW PORT RICHEY, FL – Earl M. LaFave, 66, died Saturday, October 1, 2016, at UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus in Worcester, after suffering with C.O.P.D. for several years. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Wilma R. (Keith) LaFave of New Port Richey, FL; three children, Philip J. Keith and his fiancée Wendy Sheehan of Edgewater, FL, William L. LaFave and his wife Karen LaFave of Oxford, and Jamie M. (LaFave) Menard and her fiancé Gregory Ducharme of Dudley; two sisters, Ann Delage of Southbridge and Carol Hebert of New Port Richey, FL; his former daughter-in-law, Donna Keith; 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a grandson, Derek LaFave who died in 1994. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Lance L. and June L. (Perron) LaFave, and lived in Rochdale, Charlton, and Webster, before moving to New Port Richey 3 years ago. He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade High School in Worcester in 1968.

Mr. LaFave was a professional truck driver for Kamira Water Solutions before retiring several years ago. Previously, he drove truck for Roberts Express and Washburn-Garfield, and owned and operated Mike’s Fuel Service in Dudley. He was a member and deacon at the United Church of Christ in Webster. Mr. LaFave volunteered his time at the Webster Food Pantry and Food Kitchen. He enjoyed watching racing, camping, playing games on his computer and playing cards with his friends. He loved his dog Buddy, who he always called his pal. Most of all, he enjoyed spending quality time with his family, who meant everything to him.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 23, 2016, at the United Church of Christ, 4 Church St., Webster. Memorial calling hours will be Sunday, October 23, 2016, from 3-4 p.m. at the church, prior to the service. Fellowship in the church hall will follow the service. Burial will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The E. Michael LaFave Memorial Account, c/o Hometown Bank, 4 Gore Rd., Webster, MA 01570, Attn: Customer Service. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
