WEBSTER – Dorothy G. (Taylor) Barker, 84, of Hartley Street, died peacefully on Monday, July 8, 2024, at UMass Memorial Medical Center – Memorial Campus in Worcester. She was predeceased by her husband of 32 years, Frank W. Barker, Jr., who died in 2012.
She is survived by two daughters, Wanda M. Lamphier, and Dorene S. LoSasso and her husband Paul, all of Webster; two grandsons, Louis P.E. LoSasso and Shaun A. Lamphier, both of Webster; a brother, Lloyd Linnell Jr; five sisters, Joanne Doane, Donna Richards, Robin Dunphe, Storme Linnell, and Rebecca Gray; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by seven siblings, Charlotte Nelson, Charles Taylor, Miles Taylor, Richard Linnell, James Linnell, Timothy Linnell, and Judy Bacon.
She was born on August 8, 1939, daughter of the late Charles Taylor and Dorothy (Hollis) Linnell, and lived in Oxford before moving to Webster 22 years ago.
Mrs. Barker was a homemaker throughout her life. Her family meant everything to her and she lovingly cared for her home and family. She enjoyed crocheting and crafts.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at Mount Zion Cemetery in Webster. Calling hours are Tuesday, July 16, 2024, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
