OXFORD - Doris (Fales) Carraher, 99, formerly of Fairlawn Avenue, died Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at Webster Manor Nursing Home. She was predeceased by her husband of 19 years, William F. Carraher of Oxford who died in 1973; one brother and two sisters. She is survived by two great nieces and two great nephews. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Arthur F. and Eva A. (Lucas) Fales, and was a lifelong resident of Oxford. She graduated from Oxford High School in 1931. Mrs. Carraher worked at Reed and Prince in Worcester for 32 years, retiring in 1974. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Oxford and sang in the church choir for many years. She was a member of the Oxford Grange and the Golden Age Club. A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2012, at Grace Episcopal Church, 270 Main Street, Oxford. Burial will follow at North Cemetery in Oxford. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Episcopal Church, 270 Main St., Oxford, MA 01540. Paradis Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
