NORTH OXFORD - Doris M. (Blais) Butler, 80, died Saturday, July 23, 2011, at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester. She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Edmond J. Butler who died in 2010; and a sister, Viola Blais. She is survived by two sisters, Ora McDonald of Sturbridge and Constance Cole of Southbridge; nephews and nieces. She was born in Dudley, the daughter of the late Frederick and Mayella (Duplessis) Blais, and lived in Dudley and Southbridge before moving to Oxford in 1953. Mrs. Butler worked at Pinkerton Electro-Security Company in Webster for 12 years, retiring in 1975. Previously, she worked at Harvey Wells Company and Bay State Company, both in Southbridge. She was a member of St. Ann's Church in North Oxford and was skilled at many crafts, including crocheting and ceramics. A funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2011, from Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Ann's Church, 652 Main St., North Oxford. Burial will follow at St. Roch's Cemetery, Oxford. Calling hours are Monday, July 25, 2011, from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
