Doris Brouthers

OXFORD – Doris I. (Cormier) Brouthers, 99, of Corey Drive, died Sunday, April 2, 2017, at Lanessa Extended Care in Webster. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Brouthers; her daughter, Marianne J. Adams; her brother, Edward Cormier; and her sister, Anne King. She is survived by her son, Arthur Brouthers of Spencer; her son-in-law, William B. Adams of Oxford; 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Paul and Louise (Demers) Cormier, and lived in Worcester before moving to Oxford in 1995.

Mrs. Brouthers worked as a store clerk for several years. She was a member of St. Bernard’s Church in Worcester for many years before joining St. Roch’s Church in Oxford in 1995. She enjoyed crocheting and gardening.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at St. Roch’s Church, 332 Main St., Oxford. The family will receive guests at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford, on Saturday from 8:30-9:30 a.m., prior to the Mass. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester.
