Donna Sterritt

OXFORD - Donna M. (Rutter) Sterritt, 63, of Wheelock Street, died Saturday, August 15, 2015, at Lanessa Extended Care in Webster, surrounded by her family after a brave battle with cancer. She is survived by three children, Hilary J. Raymond and her husband Jason of Oxford, Stephanie A. Mackay and her husband Mark of Whitinsville, and Jonathan P. Sterritt and his girlfriend Devon of Oxford; two brothers, Brian Rutter of Oxford and Kevin Rutter of Dudley; a sister, Maryann Lapeze of Humble, TX; six grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. She was born in Saginaw, MI, the daughter of the late Leland and Grace (Bussell) Rutter, and lived most of her life in Oxford. She graduated from Oxford High School. Mrs. Sterritt worked at Cumberland Farms in Oxford for several years. She was a Girl Scout leader in Oxford for many years. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and caring for her grandchildren. The family would like to thank Dr. Susan Zweizig, Nurse Practitioner Julie King, and nurses Kerry, Paula, and Deb, from the Levine Cancer Center at UMass Memorial Healthcare in Worcester, for their exceptional care. A private graveside service will be held at North Cemetery in Oxford. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the UMass Memorial Foundation, c/o the Cancer Care Center, P.O. Box 2795, Worcester, MA 01613.
