Donald Stone, Sr.

OXFORD - Donald J. Stone, Sr., 43, of Church Street, died Tuesday, September 10, 2013, in his home. He is survived by his wife, Deborah J. (White) Stone of Oxford; two sons, Donald J. Stone, Jr., and David W. Stone, both of Webster; two stepchildren, Nicole M. Higgins and Matthew R. Higgins, both of Oxford; three sisters, Donna J. White and her husband William of Charlton, Sharon L. Foux and her husband Richard of Dudley, and Susan E. O'Connor and her husband Edward of Oxford; a brother, Timothy D. Stone and his wife Tommie of Oxford; a grandson, Xavier "Monkey" Higgins of Oxford; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was born in Webster, the son of the late Walter D. and Cheryl L. (Clarke) Stone, and lived most of his life in Oxford. Mr. Stone worked for Utility Trailers in North Oxford for the past 8 years. Previously, he worked at Leggett and Platt in Oxford for over 15 years. He loved riding his motorcycle and going to the Rendezvous in New York. He enjoyed cookouts with his family and playing with his grandson, Xavier. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2013, at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. Burial will be private at a later date. Calling hours are Friday, September 13, 2013, from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
