Dominic Rucci

WORCESTER/OXFORD - Dominic G. Rucci, 79, died Friday, April 11, 2014, at home surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Alma M. (Landroche) Rucci of Oxford; four children, Michael Rucci of Southbridge, Donna Ruiz and her husband Ismael of West Springfield, Suzanne Gonzalez of Worcester, and Diane McCarthy and her husband John of Worcester; two stepdaughters, Patricia Ryan and her fiancé William Sanclemente of Worcester, and Karen Bourque of Worcester; a brother, Angelo Rucci of Worcester; four sisters, Grace Janulatvitch of Shrewsbury, Frances Deris and her husband Edward of Fiskdale, Mary Clemente and her husband Anthony of Worcester, and Theresa Atkins of New York; 17 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by five brothers, Christino, Daniel, Anthony, Mario, and George Rucci; a grandson, Christopher Bourque; and a great granddaughter, Samantha Gonzalez. He was born in Worcester, the son of the late Domenick and Josephine (Tatlia) Rucci, and lived in Worcester before moving to Oxford 3 years ago. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Rucci worked at Norton Company in Worcester for 37 years, retiring in 1997. He was a former member of St. John's Church in Worcester. He was a hunter and sportsman, and was a lifetime member of the Norco Sportsman's Club in Princeton. The family would like to express their gratitude for the exceptional hospice care given to him by his stepdaughter, Pat Ryan. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester. Calling hours are Monday, April 14, 2014, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
