NORTH OXFORD – Dean R. Anderson, 64, of Prospect Street, died peacefully on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, in his home surrounded by his family.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Mary Ann (Curley) Anderson of North Oxford; three children, Dean R. Anderson, Matthew J. Anderson, and Meghan E. Anderson and her companion Michael Grenier, all of Oxford; nine grandchildren, Riane and Addelin Anderson, James, Landon, and Avery Anderson, Jack, Kennedy, Noah, and Michael Grenier; many cousins, Dixie Lee Fleming Williams and her husband Jim, Stephen Fleming and his wife Cheryl, Bruce Evans and his wife Gail, Joe Evans, Brian Evans and his wife Wendy, and Deb Evans; his mother-in-law, Ann Curley; his brothers- and sisters-in-law, Jim and Grace Wood, and James Curley; his nephews, Brian Cariglia and John Curley; his aunt, Dixie Hall; his lifelong best friend, Paul Lemire; and his special niece, Grace Zarate of Millbury, whose exceptional care, love, and support given to her uncle gave great comfort to his wife and children during his illness.
He was born in Worcester, son of the late John E. and Marjorie J. (Fleming) Anderson, and lived most of his life in Charlton before moving to North Oxford in 2020. He graduated from Oxford High School in 1978.
Mr. Anderson was a salesman for Long Subaru in Webster for many years. He loved cars, attending car shows, and Corvettes. He enjoyed playing golf and traveling. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren, who affectionately called him “Buggy.” His grandchildren will never forget Football Sundays with Buggy.
A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, from 4-7 p.m. at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. Burial will be private at a later date at St. Roch’s Cemetery in Oxford.
