OXFORD - David A. "Smiley" Mrazik, 61, of Old Webster Road, died Monday, August 15, 2011, at UMass - University Campus, after a long illness. He is survived by his wife of 3 years, Jane-Marie (Kirwin) Mrazik of Oxford; his daughter, Jennifer McCart and her husband William McCart Jr. of Charlton; three step children, Arthur Dyer of Orlando, FL, Michael Dyer of Framingham, and Amy Bradstreet of Mars Hill, ME; two grandchildren, Jacob McCart and Kelsea McCart, both of Charlton; his sister, Jo Ann E. Nelson of Oxford; four step grandchildren, William McCart III of Charlton, Joshua Bradstreet, Lacey-Marie Bradstreet, and Heather Bradstreet, all of Mars Hill, ME; two great grandchildren, Kiya McCart and Zakiah Bradstreet; and two nieces, Susan Morrisey of Southbridge and Kristin Nelson of North Oxford. He was born in Worcester, the son of the late George A. and Florence C. (LeBoeuf) Mrazik, and was a lifelong resident of Oxford. He graduated from Oxford High School in 1970. Dave was an antique car enthusiast and loved swap meets. He also leaves behind his beloved dogs, Bentley and Jackson. Dave will be remembered for living his life with a free and independent spirit, despite many obstacles. Calling hours are Thursday, August 18, 2011, from 5-8 p.m. at Paradis Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. A prayer service will conclude the calling hours at 8:00 p.m. Burial will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Assn., Boston MA-NH Office, 330 Congress Street, 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02210.
