WEBSTER - David Joseph Duteau, 65, of Mechanic Street, died suddenly at home on Thursday, May 1, 2014. He is survived by three children, Lucas David Duteau of Webster, Melissa Eve Bishop of Holland, and Carrie Ellen Grimshaw of Leicester; two brothers, Wilfred Duteau of Homestead, FL, and Roland Duteau of Inverness, FL; two sisters, Mary Barry of Springfield, and Priscilla Vachon-Beaudette of Florida; his first former wife, Jean C. Stockman-Duteau of Charlton; his second former wife, Mary Boucher of Webster; one granddaughter; and several nephews and nieces, including Caroline Peck and Stephen Siekierski, both of Dudley, with whom he lived for several years. He was predeceased by a sister, Noella Siekierski. He was born in Southbridge, the son of the late Napoleon and Gabrielle (Chapdelaine) Duteau, and was a lifelong resident of Webster. Mr. Duteau worked at Exxon-Mobil in Charlton for 10 years, retiring in 2004. Previously, he worked at Kemco in Southbridge for several years. He was a member of the Acts 2:38 Ministries in Wilsonville, CT. He loved to spend time on Main Street in Webster and enjoyed all of the people in the community. He will be remembered as a selfless man who loved to be around people. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 16, 2014, at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Webster-Dudley Food Share, 4 Church Street, Webster, MA 01570.
