OXFORD – David D. DiPietro, 72, of Cypress Street, died peacefully on Friday, May 13, 2022, in his home. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Susan M. (Peltier) DiPietro of Oxford; two daughters, Jessica L. Frankhouser and her husband Hans of Woodstock, CT, and Jennifer A. Navedo and her husband John of Putnam, CT; a brother, William DiPietro of Florida; a sister, Gail Cone of Millbury; nine grandchildren, Gabrielle Navedo, Dustin Fox, Julia Fox, Anthony Navedo, Dominic Navedo, Christian Frankhouser, Alex Frankhouser, Katie Frankhouser, and Ian Frankhouser; and many nieces, nephews, friends, and many loved ones. He was predeceased by a brother, Richard DiPietro. He was born in Worcester, son of the late William J. and Anna (Adukas) DiPietro, and lived in Oxford since 1980.
Mr. DiPietro was a heavy equipment mechanic and operator for J.S. Lane and Sons in North Oxford for 15 years, prior to retirement. Previously, he co-owned W.J. DiPietro and Sons in Auburn, where he was also a mechanic and operator. He was a member of the Local 4 Operating Engineers Union.
Mr. DiPietro loved classic cars, playing golf, and going to the casino. He enjoyed watching his nephew Richie drag race, and loved his dog, Chloe. He enjoyed spending every day with his wife Susan, who was the love of his life.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at the American Legion, 227 Main Street (Route 12), Oxford. Paradis-Givner Funeral Home in Oxford is directing the arrangements.
