Darren Conrad

December 21, 1976 — July 24, 2016

On the morning of July 24, 2016, after a long courageous battle with brain cancer, Darren passed away at the Rose Monahan Hospice Residence in Worcester, MA; surrounded by his wife, mother and sister-in-law, Jill.

He was born December 21, 1976 in Framingham, MA, the son of Bernard and Linda (DiBuono) Conrad. Darren was the loving husband of Christine Conrad, and proud step-father to Zachary and Matthew Mulcahy. In addition to his wife and step-sons, he is survived by his mother Linda of Danvers, MA; his sister Holly Knights, brother-in-law David Knights and nephew Chase Knights of Danvers, MA. He also leaves his uncles Richard DiBuono of Alexandria, VA & Joseph DiBuono of Farmington, CT; and his aunt, Marilyn Conrad of Tustin, CA.

Darren was predeceased by his father Bernard; maternal grandparents Mary & James DiBuono of Marlboro, MA; his paternal grandparents Beatrice & Donald Conrad of Biddeford, ME; and uncle, Ronald Conrad of Tustin, CA.

Darren attended Marlboro schools and graduated from Marlboro High School in 1995. He went on to obtain his Bachelors of Science degree at Worcester State College and was pursuing his MBA at Clark University. He worked at IPG, Photonics in Oxford, MA for 10 years and was employed there as the Asian Regional Controller at the time of his passing.

From a young age, Darren was always an adventurist who loved football, cars and motorcycles; challenging himself with self-taught do-it-yourself projects; and everything outdoors. Darren always lived life to the fullest, and never let an opportunity pass him by.

He had a special gift of generosity to help others, no matter what the task. He had a very kind heart and quick wit and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

We will always carry your memory in our hearts…

A funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, 10 H. Putnam Road Extension, Charlton, MA, on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. A celebration of Darren’s life will be held following the Mass at 14 Buffum Dam Road, Oxford, MA. All are welcome. There will be no calling hours and burial will be held privately.
